Mobile units, such as military field hospitals or the transport of sensitive equipment, are often subjected to extreme transport conditions. Vibrations and shocks can damage the equipment and compromise its functionality.

Mobile units must do something contradictory: survive rough transport to remote or hostile locations, then operate at full performance immediately upon arrival, with no recalibration time. The equipment inside (medical, electronic, communication) is precisely the kind that is most vibration-sensitive, yet the transport conditions (off-road, air-drop, rapid deployment) are among the harshest. A unit that arrives but doesn’t work is a mission failure.

Isolation therefore has to protect both during transit and during on-site operation, where generators, HVAC and the unit’s own systems generate their own vibration.
